Geocaching

Geocaching is a global scavenger hunt using global positioning systems (GPS) and global map coordinates.  Geocachers hunt for hidden objects (caches) around the globe and talk about their experiences online.  Usually geocache placement is based more on the hunt than the find.  Hunts are generally conducted in areas of historical significance, natural beauty, or areas requiring specific skill sets.  Geocaching involves math, geography, and science making it an excellent activity for students and adults alike.
